Charity Activity - Joysticks for Justice28th of May, 2024Reitse Toren, TilburgComplex's Charity Committee aims to contribute to a variety of charities. As their last activity, the committee organised a gaming event. During this event, Joysticks for Justice, participants got the chance to buy tokens to play a variety of games. All the proceeds from the event went to Stichting Energy4All.Energy4All is an organisation that aims to create more awareness for energy metabolism diseases and to find a possible cure.The event provided a very entertaining afternoon, entirely focused on raising money for this great cause. Workfield Excursion - De ViersprongMay 15th, 2024De Viersprong, 'S-HertogenboschComplex's second workfield excursion of the year, organised by Complex's own Workfield Committee, took place at de Viersprong, specialist in persoonlijkheid, gedrag en gezin in 'S-Hertogenbosch!De Viersprong is a mental health care organisation, specialised in treating people with severe problems in personality, behaviour or family.With a select group of lucky students, we traveled to their office in 'S-Hertogenbosch, where different employees and psychologists told us everything we need to know about De Viersprong and the way they work.The welcoming staff showed how the theoretical knowledge we gathered as psychology students is applied in practice. Master Your FutureApril 24th, 2024Leiden UniversityComplex is part of SSPN, together with all the other study associations for psychology students across the Netherlands. Every year, SSPN organises the Master Your Future event where psychology students can explore different Master’s programs from all universities in the Netherlands. Lecturers from different universities presented their specific Master’s programs, and in between the rounds the students had the chance to get acquainted with all the different study associations for psychology students. Experience Your FutureApril 16th, 2024Cobbenhagen Building, Tilburg UniversityEvery year, Complex organises the successful ‘Experience Your Future’ event in collaboration with SPS-NIP Tilburg. On the evening of April 16, hundreds of students were given the opportunity to explore different fields within psychology. A variety of speakers represented a wide range of work fields. Not only the well known fields within psychology, like clinical and forensic psychology were addressed, but also less known fields such as traffic and relationship psychology.. In addition to the ten different lectures, spread across three rounds, there was also an information market in between. At this information market, students got the chance to learn more about different companies, associations, and voluntary organisations. It was a very entertaining and, above all, interesting evening!
