⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ QUOTE ⬜🟨⬜🟨🟨 VOILÀ ⬜🟩🟨🟩⬜ SALON 🟨🟩⬜🟩🟨 LABOR 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 CAROL
I’d like to open today’s review with an epigram:
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
The source of this QUOTE — which I share by way of commiserating with my fellow daily Wordlers — remains a mystery, since it has only ever been misattributed to Albert Einstein.
While a single yellow O taunts me from the middle position, pretending to be shocked that I fared poorly with an opening word that uses a Q, I’m stuck on something else: How can you prove what Einstein never said?

Today's word is ETHER, a noun. According to Webster's New World College Dictionary, it refers to “a substance hypothesized by the ancients as filling all space beyond the sphere of the moon, and making up the stars and planets.”
I rarely say or read the word BASIN in my day-to-day. Luckily, I guessed SNARE for my opener, leaving me with just four words to choose from, though I only came up with MASON. NASTY, BASIN, and NASAL were my other choices. After MASON, only one remained: BASIN for the win!
We're finally about to reveal the solution. Are you ready? FLOOD. Reporting by Caitlin Welsh, Amanda Yeo and Adam Rosenberg contributed to this article.
Introduction: My name is Eusebia Nader, I am a encouraging, brainy, lively, nice, famous, healthy, clever person who loves writing and wants to share my knowledge and understanding with you.
